The Patterns of God

The painful birthing/ The Seed/The bruised heel/the remnant - Gen 3:14-19

There are six scriptures that refer to the "heel". Why is the "heel" significant? (1) The heel is the last part of the body(of Christ in this context) to be born. (2) The heel is the body part which carries the whole weight of the body when standing or walking. (3) other? (4) Achilles heel (5) Strongest part. (6) Used to strike or trample as in Jesus quotation below identifying the "son of perdition". (7) Most significant - the bruised heel is the breaking of the strength of the "holy" people (see Dan 12:7 below) aka the "time of Jacob's trouble" = God's judgement of the "Jacob way" which is the opposite of "in Christ" = the "labor pains" = the "birthing of the man child".

Rom 8:19  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Rom 8:20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
Rom 8:21  because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22  For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
Rom 8:23  Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

1 Th 4:15  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
1 Th 4:16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Th 4:17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Th 4:18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Rev 12:1  Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
Rev 12:2  Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
Rev 12:3  And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
Rev 12:4  His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.
Rev 12:5  She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

Rev 13:1  Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
Rev 13:2  Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
Rev 13:3  And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
Rev 13:4  So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
Rev 13:5  And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Rev 13:6  Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7  It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
